The East End Bar and Grill

I intended to start my quest for bar immortality at 12:01 AM January 1st. However, my laziness got the best of me and I ended up comfortably in my bed at 12:00 eating baked lays. Win some, lose some. Anyways, I broke the seal of my bar adventure by attacking The East End Bar and Grill, the official Syracuse Bar of NYC.
Name: The East End Bar and Grill
Location: 1st ave between 86th and 87, New York City

Bar number: 1
Price of Guinness: $6.00

My friend Matt and I had been looking for a quality Syracuse bar that we could go and watch games not on ESPN or CBS. After McFaddens failed, and not wanting to go to the Hill (A Syracuse Bar in Murray Hill, which I will probably end up at at some point to achieve 200) we discovered that the best place to watch a Cuse game was in the upper east side, at the East End.
Yelp did not lie. The EE is a quality bar, filled to the brim with passionate Cuse fans.Entering the bar, I said the shehecheyanu to commemorate my quest. Matt and I arrived just before Tip off at 12:00, and good thing too, or we would have had crappy seats. Luckily, we got seats at the bar. The EE was running a $25 all you can drink Coors light special during the Cuse game. Matt and I contemplated it, but after realizing that McFaddens offers a $20 all you can drink special for a 3 hour football game, plus all you can eat wings, we decided to pass.
Instead we opted for our traditional Guinness. Im glad I ordered it because I had just woken up, and wanted a meal and something to drink, and the cool Guinness served both.
Watching the game surrounded by hundreds of Cuse fans was a ton of fun and reminded me of being back at Chucks, especially because the Orange encountered a heart breaking defeat, losing the first game of the year to a undeserving PITT team. I did not go home happy.
None-the-less the bar proved to be a fun time and a great place to watch a Cuse game (especially because the bartender undercharged our drinks and gave us 2 free Guinness’s) but unfortunately I will not go back because we lost and I consider that bar a Jinx.
Gotta get back on my grind and start cranking out these bars quicker.
